Blog 17: Independent Component 2 Approval
1. Describe in detail what you plan to do for your 30 hours.
For my independent 2 I would like to prepare the chassis. This may not seem like much but for a race truck it is very important and a lot of work. I will plumb the chassis. Plumb includes brake lines, fuel lines, and wiring. We are running hard line for the fuel so that requires a lot of measuring and planning angles and securing. Its also the same for the brake lines. We are also boxing the frame. This is an industry term for reinforcing the frame. A standard frame like ours is shaped like a c so by completing the the other side it makes a box which is where the term comes from. There is a lot of measuring cutting and welding involved in that. Along with those comes taking the body off of it and stripping all the old parts and putting the new on. The 30 hour requirement is a breeze with this.
2. Discuss how or what you will do to meet the expectation of showing 30 hours of evidence.
There will be pictures time lapses and video.
3. Explain how this component will help you explore your topic in more depth.
The chassis is the base of a race car and so by researching what to do and what the best ways to do so are I will inturn be researching for the best setups.
