Blog 1 – Senior Final Lesson/Interview Reflection

1.  What three lessons were most helpful for you to see, and why?
I found Football, Drag Racing, and Automotive maintenance to be the most helpful for me. Football was helpful in making me realize i should do something that I truly had a passion for. The other two were car based which I am going to do as my topic so it helped me with ideas as far as the EQ and the activity. Plus they were all a lot of fun and relatively well done.

2. List one thing that you learned about the senior project in interviews that will help you get off to a good start?
Sadly I wasn't present for the interviews but I would like to have asked how they came up with their EQ because I am struggling with that the most.

3. What topic(s) are you considering, and why?
I am going to do Automotive restoration and Modification. I have already committed to an automotive topic because I have purchased a truck for the project and am going to use it for examples and possibly activity and for sure my independent components. My reason for wanting to do an automotive topic is because I have good mentors, I am going to pursue is as a future job, and it's my passion.

4. What EQ do you think might be interesting to consider in guiding a project like this?
Im thinking somewhere along the line of, What is the best way to restore and modify a vehicle into a reliable mode of transportation? or What is the most efficient way to build a budget racer?

5. What are some ideas you have about finding summer mentorship?
I am in talks with a custom truck shop, an autoshop teacher, and some family in the automotive industry.
