1. Describe in detail what you plan to do for your 30 hours.
My plan for the independent component is removal, teardown, clean, build, tune, and replace the motor. As well as the physical stuff I'd also like to include time spent talking to sponsors. One of the books I read was all about internal combustion engines.
2. Discuss how or what you will do to meet the expectation of showing 30 hours of evidence.
Well so far I have 10 hours in just removing the motor and tearing it down. Plus the 2 or 3 hours of talking to sponsors. If I include the book its at lest another 5 to 10 hours. There about an hour in my cleaning of the motor to this point but there will be more. The build up will be probably 10 to 15 hours. Placing and tuning will be 7 to 10 hours.
3. Explain how what you will be doing will help you explore your topic in more depth.
The only way a car runs is with a motor. The interworking of the motor is one of the greatest fascinators. Looking at how the motor withstands all those explosions and such a short time span and for a continual amount of time.
4. Update your Senior Project Hours log.
Looks good.
